Louis Albert Sahr
     Louis Albert Sahr was born on 30 September 1919 at McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Louis Leo Sahr and Elizabeth Eleanor Pschirer. Louis, a new born, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 1223 Thackers Street, McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Louis Leo and Elizabeth Eleanor Sahr.6 Louis, age 10, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 2620 Glasgow Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Louis Leo and Elizabeth Eleanor Sahr.7 Louis, age 21, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 2620 Glasgow Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Louis Leo and Elizabeth Eleanor Sahr. He was a laborer.8 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Louis was a laborer.8 On on 16 October 1940, Louis registered for the World War II draft, while living at 2620 Glasgow Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 21 and his employer as J. G. Dickson.2 He joined the US Army 20 June 1941. He served overseas on 20 August 1944 to 8 October 1945. He was discharged 19 Novembe 1945.3,5,9

Louis Albert Sahr, age 22, married Betty Mae Long, age 17 , daughter of Edgar William Long and Lillian Glady Smith, on 6 February 1942 at the Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana.

Louis, age 30 years, and Betty Sahr, age 25 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at South Shenango Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.13 In 1979, the year Louis died, he lived at Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.4 He died on 6 December 1979 at Medical Center Hospital, Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio, at age 60.14,15,4 Louis's obituary of 7 December 1979, reads:

Louis Sahr

Louis A. Sahr, 60, of 400 Meadow Drive, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday in Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness.

He had been a construction superintendent for Rust Engineering of Birmingham, Ala., for 25. years.

Louis was buried on 10 December 1979 at Shadeville, Ross County, Ohio, A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Chillicothe, Father T. Edward Hopping officiating.
