     Clothaire I ~ King of the Franks was born circa 501 at Soissons, Aisne, Hauts-de-France, France.1 He was the son of Clovis I the Great ~ King of the Franks and Saint Clothilda. Clothaire was crowned the King of Orleans in 524.2

Clothaire I ~ King of the Franks married Guntheuca in 524.1,2 Clothaire I ~ King of the Franks and Chunsina were in a relationship that produced offspring.1 In 531, he, along with his half-brother, King Theoderich, invaded Thuringia, where they deposed King Hermanfred and annexed Thuringia. It is said that as part of the booty, he brought back his second wife. In 534, he joined his brother, King Childebert, and invaded Burgundy and deposing King Gondemar.1
