Nerseh I ~ Shah of Iran was the son of Sapor I ~ Shah of Iran and Gurdzag. Nerseh was crowned the King of Armenia circa 273.1 Nerseh was crowned the Shah of Iran in 293.1 He seized the throne of Persia from his grand-nephew, Bahram III. He soon made war on Rome, but was defeated in Armenia, and thereafter made peace with Rome.1 He died in 302.
