     Clara C. Watson was born on 29 June 1872 at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of John C. Watson and Mary Jane Brown. Clara C. Watson went by the nick-name of Kitty.3 Clara, age 10, appeared on the US Census of 1880 living at Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her widowed mother, Mary Jane Brown.4 As of 1906,her married name was Brindle.

Clara C. Watson married Samuel Henry Brindle, son of Phillip Kuhns Brindle and Sophia Blank, in 1906.
