Philip Kuhns Brindle
     Phillip Kuhns Brindle was born on 30 November 1835 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3 He was the son of John W. Brindle and Mary Hanlin. Phillip Kuhns Brindleappeared on the US Census of 1850 in the household of John W. Brindle at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.4 Phillip Kuhns Brindleappeared on the US Census of 1860 in the household of John W. Brindle at Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.5 Phillip was a laborer in 1860.5 Phillip registered for the draft in 1863 at Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.6

Phillip Kuhns Brindle married Sophia Blank, daughter of George Adam Blank and Catherine Shelley, in 1867.2,7 Phillip Kuhns Brindle, age 34 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1870 at Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.8 According to the Federal Census in 1870, Phillip was a coal miner.8 He, age 44 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1880 at Paradise, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.9 According to the Federal Census in 1880, Phillip was a worker on the railroad.9 He, age 64 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1900 at 1 Traveling Hand of Gipsies, Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 According to the Federal Census in 1900, Phillip was a section boss on the railroad.2 Phillip wrote his will on 3 February 1910 at Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.10 He died on 9 February 1910 at Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 74.1,3 He was buried on 11 February 1910 at Union Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,3 His estate was probated on 12 May 1910 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.10
