     Thomas Flanders was born on 20 October 1773 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Jedidiah Flanders and Judith Tuxbury. Between 1804 and 1809 he served as the Cornville Town Treasurer.4

Thomas Flanders, age 31, married Sarah Sawyer, age 27 , daughter of Israel Sawyer and Miriam Clough French, on 13 January 1805 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.

He served in Lt. Col. J. Waugh's regiment raised at Cornville, Maine, from 14 September to 24 September 1814 making him a War of 1812 veteran.2,5 Thomas Flanders died on 11 February 1854 at Cornville, Maine, at age 80.6 He was buried at West Ridge Cemetery, Cornville, Maine.6
