     Jedidiah Flanders was born on 29 August 1748 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Jedidiah Flanders and Eleanor Barnard. Jedidiah and Judith Tuxbury filed marriage intentions on 30 December 1769 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.1,5

Jedidiah Flanders, age 21, married Judith Tuxbury, age 17 , daughter of Thomas Tuxbury and Mary Currier, on 8 February 1770 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.6,7,8,5,9,1,10,3,4 Jedidiah, appeared on the US Census of 1790 at Salisbury, Massachusetts. The enumeration reads:

Apr. 11, 1791, Thomas Tuxbury, of Nottingham, and Jacob Tuxbury, Jerediah Flanders, Judith Flanders, Josiah Tuxbury, Anna Tuxbury, Elijah Rowe, Dorothy Rowe, Daniel Collins, Mary Collins, being heirs to the estate of Mary Tuxbury, deceased, late wife of Thomas Tuxbury, late of South Hampton, deceased, grant land in South Hampton to Jonathan Currier of Newton, N. H. Wit. by Christopher Sargent & Thomas Flanders.1




Jan. 16, 1795, Jedidiah Flanders of Salisbury, Mass., yeoman, & Judith, my wife, grant land in Amesbury to Jonathan Bartlett of Newton, it being the share set off to Judith Flanders &Molly Collins out of the estate of the late Thomas Tuxbury (I :11).1


Jedidiah and Judithmoved to Cornville, Maine, in 1795.9,1,3,4 In 1799 he became a Selectman of the Town of Cornville, Maine.9 At the Town Meeting on 4 April 1799, Cornville voted to tax his sawmill.9

Mch. 14, 1814, Jedidiah Flanders of Cornville, Me. & Judith, his wife, for $95 paid by Peter Teuksbury of South Hampton, yeoman, quit claim to right and title to our part of the estate of our honoured father, Thomas Teuksbury of South Hampton, deceased, Gentleman, which was set off to his widow, Sarah Teuksbury, as her dower or thirds of the estate in South Hampton.” Wit., by Thomas Flanders & John Lawrence.9,1
