     Jean-Baptiste Trahan was born circa 1705 at Acadia, New France.1,2 He was the son of Alexandre-Joseph Trahan and Marie Pellerin.1

Jean-Baptiste Trahan married Catherine-Josèphe Boudrot, daughter of Charles Boudrot and Marie Corporon, in 1735 at the Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.
