Jeffrey Smith
     Jeffery Sidney Smith was born on 8 August 1947 at Montague, Massachusetts.1,2,3 He was the son of Sidney Henry Smith and Janice Mary Woodman. Jeffery Sidney Smithappeared on the US Census of 1950 in the household of Grandville William Cooper Jr. and Janice Mary Woodman at 21 Deshon Manor, Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania.4 Jeffery graduated from Butler High School in 1966.3 Jeffrey joined the U.S. Army after graduation, and went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 14 years, including time in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.3 He died on 5 December 2023 at Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania, at age 76.3 Jeffery's obituary of 7 December 2023, reads:

Jeffrey Smith, 76, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023.

He was born in Montague, Mass., on Aug. 9, 1947, to the late Sidney Smith and Janice (Woodman) Farmer. After graduating from Butler High School in 1966, Jeffrey went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 14 years, including time in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.

Jeffrey worked as a machinist. He was known for loving all with a heart of gold. Jeff loved to sketch, draw and paint. Spending time with his family brought joy to his life, a smile to his face and tears to his eyes.

Jeffrey married the love of his life, Sherry (Keith) Smith, in 2004. Along with his wife, he is survived by his grandson, Brandon (Jessica) Scarborough; great-grandchildren, Jolene and Ada Scarborough; in-laws, Ronald (Joanne) Keith; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tracy Scarborough; his grandson, Koltan Cahall; one sister; two brothers; and three brothers-in-law.

SMITH - Family and friends of Jeffrey Smith, who died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
