     Betsey M. Ware was born in 1814 at Buckland, Massachusetts.3,4,5 She was the daughter of Michael Ware and Hannah Kemp.1,2

Betsey M. Ware married Orville Sherwin, age 27 , son of William Sherwin and Marcia Carter, on 26 December 1843 at Buckland, Massachusetts.6,5,1,2,7 Betsey, age 36 years, and Orville, age 33 years, appeared on the US Census of 1850 at Buckland, Massachusetts.8 Betsey, age 41 years, and Orville, age 38 years , appeared on the Massachusetts State Census of 1855 at Buckland, Massachusetts.3 Betsey, age 46 years, and Orville, age 43 years, appeared on the US Census of 1860 at Sugar Grove, Kane County, Illinois.9 Betsey, age 51 years, and Orville, age 48 years , appeared on the Massachusetts State Census of 1865 at Shelburne, Massachusetts.10 Betsey M. Ware died on 20 January 1867 at Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts.6,1,2,7,4 She was buried at Arms Cemetery, Shelburne, Massachusetts, in section R2. Betsey's epitaph reads:
