     Johnson Dunham was born on 28 March 1776 at Brunswick, Maine. There were two Johnson Dunham's born in New England in the late 1700s. This is not the Johnson Dunham, son of David and Tabitha (Cooley) Dunham, born 20 October 1771 in Brimfield, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of John Dunham and Lois Woodbury.

Johnson Dunham, age 21, married Hannah Moss, age 16 , daughter of Anthony Moss and Susanna Elliot, on 23 April 1797.5,6,7,8 Johnson, appeared on the US Census of 1810 at Brunswick, Maine. The enumeration reads:

He was listed as Johnson Dunham and Hannah Moss's neighbor in a census in 1850 at Bath, Maine.15 According to the Federal Census in 1850, Johnson was a carpenter in the construction industry.15 Heappeared on the US Census of 1860 in the household of Daniel J. Dunham and Rhoda McManus at Bath, Maine.16 Johnson Dunham died on 5 January 1860 at Bath, Maine, at age 83.17,6,1,8
