Dorothy (Dunham) Woodman
     Dorothy E Dunham was born on 27 March 1810 at Brunswick, Maine.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Johnson Dunham and Hannah Moss. According to her obituary, "She was a woman of lovable disposition an had a happy faculty of winning friends, who were always pleased to call themselves such."5

Dorothy E Dunham, age 20, married Deacon Greenleaf H. Woodman, age 22 , son of Jacob Woodman and Hannah Hatch, on 8 February 1831.6,7,3 Dorothy, age 39 years, and Greenleaf, age 41 years, appeared on the US Census of 1850 at Auburn, Maine.8 Dorothy, age 49 years, and Greenleaf, age 51 years, appeared on the US Census of 1860 at Auburn, Maine.9 Dorothy, age 59 years, and Greenleaf, age 61 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Auburn, Maine.10 Dorothy E Dunhamappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of Herbert J. Woodman and Mary E. Flanders at 45 Bartlette Street, Lewiston, Maine.11 According to the 1892 Brockton, Massachusetts, City Directory, Dorothy, a widow, lived at 32 Wilder Street with her son, Alvin.12 Dorothy E Dunhamappeared on the US Census of 1900 in the household of Alvin W. Woodman and Phebe Adelaid Briggs at 52 Wilder Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.1 According to the Federal Census in 1900, Dorothy was a widow.1 She died on 27 August 1902 at 52 Wilder Street, Brockton, Massachusetts, at age 92 from dysentery at the home of her son, Alvin Woodman.2,13,14,15,5,16,17 Dorothy's obituary of 27 August 1902, reads:

Mrs Dorothy E. Woodman Dead.

BROCKTON. Aug 27 - Mrs Dorothy E. Woodman, one of the oldest resilents of the city. died this morning at the home of her son. Alderman Alvin Woodmen. 32 'Wilder at aged interment will be in Auburn, Me
