Karl Rudolf Schultz
     Karl Rudolph Schultz was born on 8 September 1828 at Meissen, Saxony, Germany.1,2 He was the son of Karl Rudolph Schultze and Sophia Wilhelmena Süssekind. Karl Rudolph Schultz was also known as Charles R. Schultz after immigration.3

Karl Rudolph Schultz married Gertrude Mary Geyerstanger, daughter of Matthias Geyerstanger and Maria Seidenadler von Radstadt, in 1857.2 Karl Rudolph Schultz, age 31 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1860 at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.4 Karl registered for the draft in 1863 at Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.5 Karl, age 41 years, and Gertrude, age 42 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1 Karl, age 51 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 on Main Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.6 According to the Federal Census in 1880, Karl was a grocery store owner and a widower.6 Karl wrote his will on 27 July 1898 at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.7 He died on 7 October 1898 at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 70.3 He was buried at Saint Marys Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.3
