Ethel (McMichael) Brindle
     Ethel McMichael was born on 14 November 1872 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Warren McMichael and Catharine Stairs.1 Ethel McMichael went by the nick-name of Effie. Sheappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of Samuel Warren McMichael and Catharine Stairs at Texas Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.3

Ethel McMichael, age 17, married John George Brindle, age 22 , son of Phillip Kuhns Brindle and Sophia Blank, on 27 November 1889.2,1,4,5,6 Ethel, age 27 years, and John, age 32 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 on 204 Rose Street, Manor, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 Ethel, age 37 years, and John, age 42 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 on Cleveland Ave, Manor, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.7 Ethel, age 47 years, and John, age 52 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 on 123 South Ninth Street, Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.8 John and Ethel are listed in the 1921 Connellsville, Pennsylvania, City Directory as living on 23 S 9th West Street.9 Ethel McMichael died on 6 January 1930 at home on 123 South Ninth Street, Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, at age 57 from nephritis and hypertension.10,4,11 She was buried on 8 January 1930 at Union Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.12
