     Joseph Savoie was born on 11 March 1717 at Port-Royal, Acadia.1,2 He was christened on 12 March 1717 at Port-Royal, Acadia.1 He was the son of Germain Savoie and Geneviève Babineau.

Joseph Savoie, age 27, married Marie-Josèphe Bourg, age 20 , daughter of Joseph Bourg and Louise Robichaud, on 6 February 1745. Witnesses were Pierre Savoye, Aman Savoye, Joseph Bourg and Joseph Lanoue. There was a dispensation for 4-4 consanguinity.1,2

Joseph and Marie Josèphe and their family escaped deportation by taking refuge in Camp Espérance in Miramichi. They were present there in 1756-1757. In 1760, the family ended up in Restigouche, New Brunswick (Joseph died before the 1760 census). The family remained a refugee in New Brunswick after 1760 according to S. White.2 Joseph Savoie died circa 1760 at Miramichi, Nouveau-Brunswick, New France.1,2
