     John O'Neil was born on 1 November 1880 at Merthyr Tydfil, Breconshire, Glamorganshire, Wales.1 He was the son of Andrew O'Neil and Mary Ann Reardon. John O'Neil was christened on 6 December 1880 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Merthyr Tydfil, Breconshire, Glamorganshire, Wales. Heappeared on the Wales census of 1881 in the household of Andrew O'Neil and Mary Ann Reardon at 23 Swansea Road, Merthyr Tydfil, Breconshire, Glamorganshire, Wales.2 John O'Neil immigrated on 20 January 1886 to the United States He arrived with his mother at Ellis Island on board the SS Helvetia from Liverpool. They then went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to joining Andrew who was already there.1 He was naturalized before 1900.1 Heappeared on the US Census of 1900 in the household of Andrew O'Neil and Mary Ann Reardon at 81 West Carson Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.1 According to the Federal Census in 1900, John was a day laborer.1 Heappeared on the US Census of 1910 in the household of Andrew O'Neil and Mary Ann Reardon at West Carson Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.3 According to the Federal Census in 1910, John was a laborer in an iron works.3 Heappeared on the US Census of 1920 in the household of Andrew O'Neil and Mary Ann Reardon at 131 Wardens Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.4 According to the Federal Census in 1920, John was a worker in a nut and bolt company.4 He died on 1 March 1952 at St. Joseph's Hopsital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at age 71 from a coranary occlusion. He was buried on 5 March 1952 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
