     Edward Woodman was born on 14 March 1628 at Christian Malford, Wiltshire, England.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Lt. Edward Woodman and Joanna Salway. Edward Woodman was christened on 1 April 1632 at St. Bartholomew's Church, Corsham, Wiltshire, England.6 He immigrated with Lt. Edward Woodman and Joanna Salway circa 1635 to Massachusetts.3

Edward Woodman, age 25, married Mary Goodridge, age 19 , daughter of William Goodrich and Margaret Butterfield, on 20 December 1653 at Newbury, Massachusetts.1,6,2,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17 Edward and Mary joined the Newbury Church in 1674.1,18 Edward took the Oath of Fidelity and Allegiance in 1678.1,18 Abraham Merrill was assigned as tythingman over the Edward Woodman Jr. family on 31 March 1679.2 Edward wrote his will on 16 December 1693 at Newbury, Massachusetts. He listed his wife, Mary, and his children Archelaus, Edward, and Judith.1,6,18 He died on 11 September 1694 at Newbury, Massachusetts, at age 66.6,7,5 He was buried at Burying Ground of the First Settlers, Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.5 His estate was probated on 25 September 1694 at Essex County, Massachusetts.1,18,19,20
