     Flora Belle Lindsay was born on 22 November 1857 at Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of Robert Garber Lindsay and Catherine Gardner. Flora Belle Lindsayappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of Robert Garber Lindsay and Catherine Gardner at 60 Walnut Street, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.3 According to the Federal Census in 1880, Flora was a seamstress.3

Flora Belle Lindsay married Edward Mausheim Lotz, son of George Lotz and Catherine Ann Fleck, in 1884.1 Flora, age 42 years, and Edward, age 42 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.1 Flora, age 52 years, and Edward, age 52 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 on 316 Walnut Street, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.4 Flora, age 62 years, and Edward, age 62 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 on 316 Walnut Street, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.5 Flora, age 72 years, and Edward, age 72 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 316 Walnut Street, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.6 According to the 1936 Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, City Directory, Edward and Flora lived on 316 Walnut Street.7 Flora, age 82 years, and Edward, age 82 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 at 316 Walnut Street, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.8 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Flora was a seamstress.8 She died on 1 September 1946 at home on 316 Walnut Street, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania, at age 88 from hypertensine and heart disease.2,9 Flora's obituary of 3 September 1946, reads:

Funeral services and interment for Mrs. Flora B. Lotz, 88, mother of Dr. A. King Lotz of 802 Berkely Road, Westover Hills, were held today at her home in Hollidaysburg, Pa., where she died on Sunday.

Other survivors are another son. Dr. Walter E. Lotz. Tyrone. Pa., and a daughter, Mrs. W. J. Oaks of Hollidaysburg. Her husband, Edward M. Lotz, died about a year ago.9


She was buried on 3 September 1946 at Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania, in section D.2
