Moses Flanders, age 20, married Roxana Webb, daughter of Christopher Webb and Betsey Smith, on 21 November 1811 at Canaan, Somerset County, Maine.3,5,6 He was a private in Lt. Col. J. Waugh's regiment, which was raised at Cornville during the War of 1812.3,7 Moses, appeared on the US Census of 1840 at Cornville, Somerset County, Maine. The enumeration reads:
He died on 17 January 1845 at Cornville, Somerset County, Maine, at age 53.9,10,11,12,4,13 His estate was probated on 11 March 1845 at Somerset County, Maine.14
He was buried at West Ridge Cemetery, Cornville, Somerset County, Maine.10,4,13
