     Moses Flanders was born on 23 June 1791 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Jedidiah Flanders and Judith Tuxbury.

Moses Flanders, age 20, married Roxana Webb, daughter of Christopher Webb and Betsey Smith, on 21 November 1811 at Canaan, Maine.3,5,6 He was a private in Lt. Col. J. Waugh's regiment, which was raised at Cornville during the War of 1812.3,7 Moses, appeared on the US Census of 1840 at Cornville, Maine. The enumeration reads:
