Lewis and Bessie (Parents) Eddy
     Lewis George Eddy was born on 9 March 1867 at Shutesbury, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of George Harrington Eddy and Jane Fuller Sherwin. Lewis George Eddyappeared on the US Census of 1870 in the household of George Harrington Eddy and Jane Fuller Sherwin at Shutesbury, Massachusetts.5 Lewis George Eddyappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of George Harrington Eddy and Jane Fuller Sherwin at Shutesbury, Massachusetts.6 March 1890, Lewis was raised as a Master Mason in Bay State Lodge, Montague, Massachusetts affiliating with Pacific Lodge in 1908. He was exalted in Amherst Arch Chapter 7 April 1921. He was also a member of Unity Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.3,7

Lewis George Eddy, age 26, married Bessie Eliza Parents, age 17 , daughter of Charles Frederick Parents and Harriet Francelia Blanchard, on 16 August 1893 at Amherst, Massachusetts.4,1,8,9,10 According to the census in 1900, Lewis was an engineer on an electric railroad. In White (1900), he is listed as a "stationary engineer at North Amherst, Mass."1,4 Lewis, age 32 years, and Bessie, age 24 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at 73 Factory Street, Amherst, Massachusetts.1 Lewis, age 42 years, and Bessie, age 34 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at Factory Street, Amherst, Massachusetts.11 According to the census in 1910, Lewis was an engineer on an electric street railway.11 Lewis, age 52 years, and Bessie, age 44 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 at Amherst, Massachusetts.12 Lewis, age 62 years, and Bessie, age 54 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 at 20 Whitney Street, Amherst, Massachusetts.13 According to the census in 1930, Lewis was a construction electrician.13 Lewis, age 72 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 at Amherst, Massachusetts. He was a widower. In 1950, he mis-stepped off a low porch and broke his hip.14 He died on 4 April 1953 at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton, Massachusetts, at age 86.3,7,15 He was buried at West Cemetery, Amherst, Massachusetts.7,16
