Mark Quinn was born in 1830 at County Galway, Ireland.1
Mark Quinn married Margaret Gorham, daughter of John Gorham and Mary Cain, in 1856.2 Mark, age 40 years, and Margaret, age 29 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Richland, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.1 According to the Federal Census in 1870, Mark was a railroad hand.1 Mark, age 50 years, and Margaret, age 39 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 on 63 Hill Street, Emlenton, Venango County, Pennsylvania.3 Mark was a laborer in 1880.3 He died on 15 October 1896 at Duquesne, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.4,5 He was buried on 15 October 1896 at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in plot N-274-1.4,5 Mark's obituary of 16 October 1896, reads:

The funeral of Mark Quinn, Sr., a widely known and respected resident of Brnddock, whose death occurred yeaterday, at the home of his dnughter, Mrs. Martin J. Bcamon, at Duquesne. was held in the Duquesne Roman catholic church. The remains were brought over the Pittsburg, Virginia & Charleston railroad to this city and then taken to St. Mary's cemetery for Interment. The deceased mas 66 years of age and was a successful oil operator. He removed to Long Branch, N. J., about a year ago, and became ill while on a visit to his daughter, Mrs. Heamon. He Is survived by five sons and two daughters, all well known: Messrs. Mark, Jcimes, Stephen, Martin and John, of Braddock; Mrs. Bcamon. of Duquesne; and Mrs. W, J. Dixon, of Saltsburg.5
