     Michel Haché dit Gallant was born in 1666 at Église Saint-Pierre, Montdidier, Somme, Hauts-de-Franc, France.1,2 He was the son of Pierre Larché. The first mention of Michel Haché in Acadia is in the church register at Beaubassin dated 27 April 1682.1

Michel Haché dit Gallant married Anne Cormier, daughter of Thomas Cormier and Marie-Madeleine Girouard, in 1690 at Beaubassin, Acadia, New France.3,2,4,1 Michel was a carpenter and a ship's captain.1 Michel and Annemoved to Île Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward's Island), New France, circa 1728.1 Michel Haché dit Gallant was buried on 17 July 1737 at Île Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward's Island), New France.1
