Nathan Whitney was born circa 1695 at Norwalk, Connecticut.1,2 He was the son of John Whitney and Elizabeth Smith.
Nathan Whitney married Sarah Platt, daughter of John Platt and Sarah Lockwood, circa 1715 at Norwalk, Connecticut.1,3,2 Nathan Whitney was admitted as a freeman on 9 December 1728 at Ridgefield, Connecticut.1 Nathan and Sarahmoved to Cortlandt, Westchester County, New York, as early as 1747. Cortlandt is now Yorktown.4,1
