     Philip II von Hohenstauffen , Emperor of Germany was born circa 1177.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Frederick I Barbarossa , Holy Roman Emperor and Beatrice of Burgundy. Philip II von Hohenstauffen's full titles were the Emperor of Germany, the Duke of Swabia, and the Margrave of Tuscany.3 Philip became, in 1196, the Duke of Tuscany and Swabia.2,3

Philip II von Hohenstauffen , Emperor of Germany married Irene Angelica , Queen of Sicily, daughter of Isaac II Angelos , Emperor of the East and Eirene Komnena, on 25 May 1197.1,2,3,4,5 Philip was crowned the Emperor of Germany. He was considered the Holy Roman Emperor, but never crowned as such. in 1198.2,3 Philip was crowned the King of the Romans on 6 February 1199.2 He was assassinated on 21 June 1208 at Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany, by Otto of Wittelsbach.1,2,3 He was buried at Ägidienkirche, Speyer, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.1,2
