     Irene Angelica , Queen of Sicily was born circa 1181.1,2 She was the daughter of Isaac II Angelos , Emperor of the East and Eirene Komnena. Irene Angelica , Queen of Sicily was also known as Maria in Germany.2,1

Irene Angelica , Queen of Sicily married Roger III of Sicily in 1191.1,2 In 1194, as a young widow, she was abducted from Sicily and taken to Germany.1

Irene Angelica , Queen of Sicily married Philip II von Hohenstauffen , Emperor of Germany, son of Frederick I Barbarossa , Holy Roman Emperor and Beatrice of Burgundy, on 25 May 1197.1,2,3,4,5 Irene Angelica , Queen of Sicily was murdered on 27 August 1208.1,2 She was buried at Lorsch Abbey, Lorsch, Hesse, Germany.1,2

Marriage Date: Weis (1982) gives their marriage date as 1196

Death: My old records say she was killed by the same person on the same day as her husband, but in a totally different place. I have left her record blank until this can be figured out.3
